MASAI MARA, LAKE NAKURU, AMBOSELI, TSAVO EAST, TSAVO WEST AND TAITA HILLS SAFARI (8 days, 7 nights)
FIRST DAY
Morning departure from Nairobi airport/hotel for the famous Masai Mara National Park. Arrive around lunchtime in the town of Narok (a quaint but welcoming provincial town and the main gateway to the Masai Mara). Continue to the Masai Mara and begin a game drive until sunset. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.
SECOND DAY
Departure at 6:30 after breakfast. Full-day game drive with a stop for lunch in the middle of the savannah with a packed lunch.
After sunset, return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.
THIRD DAY
Depart at 6:30 a.m. after breakfast to reach Lake Nakuru, famous for its rhinos and countless pink flamingos. Arrive at the lodge at 12:00 p.m. for a relaxing lunch. At 3:30 p.m., depart for a game drive until sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
FOURTH DAY
Depart at 6:30 AM for Amboseli National Park. Here, you can admire Mount Kilimanjaro and enjoy its evocative presence amidst the savannah scenery. At approximately 1:00 PM, you'll arrive directly at your lodge or tented camp for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, at 3:30 PM, you'll depart for another game drive until sunset. Return to the lodge or tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
FIFTH DAY
Departure at 6:30 am for the last game drive in Amboseli until 8:30 am
To reach Tsavo West, this park is characterized by mountains, lakes, and rivers, home to numerous families of hippos, crocodiles, birds, and felines, with a chance of seeing leopards. Arrival at approximately 10:30 AM and the game drive begins, ending at 1:00 PM. We'll reach the lodge for lunch and relaxation. At 4:00 PM, we'll set off for another game drive until sunset. We'll also reach the Rhino Santuary, a fenced reserve protecting the last remaining rhinos from poachers. After sunset, we'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
SIXTH DAY
Departure at 6:30 am to continue the safari towards Mzima Spring, the source of the Tsavo River, populated by crocodiles and hippos. This is where the real walking safari takes place, accompanied by rangers. At 10:30 am, we leave Tsavo West for Taita Hills, where it is possible to go on a night safari accompanied by a ranger. You will witness nocturnal hunting scenes and admire many animals that prefer to roam the savannah after dark. Arrival at the reserve at approximately 11:00 am and the game drive begins, lasting until approximately 1:00 pm. Lunch and relaxation at a stilt lodge. At 4:00 pm, we depart for another game drive until sunset. Return to the lodge for dinner.
The night safari begins at 8:30 pm, accompanied by a ranger. At 10:30 pm, you will return to the lodge for the overnight stay.
SEVENTH DAY
Departure at 6:30 a.m. for another game drive until approximately 11:00 a.m. We'll then leave Taita Hill and head towards Tsavo East, Kenya's largest park. Arrival at approximately 11:40 a.m. and the game drive begins, lasting until approximately 1:00 p.m. We'll reach the lodge/tented camp for lunch and relaxation. Both are located near a waterhole where the animals drink. At 4:00 p.m., we'll depart for another afternoon game drive until sunset. Return to the lodge/tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
EIGHTH DAY
Departure at 6:30 a.m. after breakfast. Last morning game drive until around 10:00 a.m., then departure from the park for your hotel in Watamu/Malindi/Mombasa, arriving around lunchtime.
